Why We Built This Site
Virginia provides several lawful routes to criminal-record information, but no single office keeps every document. The arresting agency holds its incident narrative. Piedmont Regional Jail maintains booking and custody data. Court clerks preserve charges, hearings, dispositions, and sentencing orders. Virginia State Police operates CCRE and the official criminal-history request process, while VADOC and the Virginia registry maintain separate custody, supervision, and registration records. We bring the verified access routes together without presenting any of them as interchangeable.

- We cannot interpret a charge or offer advice about a particular case
- We cannot promise that an agency's fees, hours, addresses, or phone numbers will never change
An official copy must come from the office that issued or maintains it, such as the sheriff, court clerk, jail, or Virginia State Police CCRE.
